It hasn't been often this year that the weather forecast has seemed so exciting. After the brutal year mother nature has thrown at us a tropical low and an 89 in the forecast sounds like heaven. Fall crops are starting to dominate the beds as we move into September but the temps are still screaming SUMMER. Our saving grace is the shadehouse experiments......it seems many cool weather crops like the protection from the blaring sun and can thrive under conditions that even warm weather crops suffer in. We are currently in week 18 of the CSA....two pickups to go and pac-choi is the first of the fall crops to show up in the mix. Hopefully the forecasters are correct and we get some rain and cooler weather.....that being the case.....fall crops are a go!!
